Phuong Quoc Tri’s is a highly talented self taught artist from Vietnam. Despite his lack of formal training, he is considered of the most promising up and coming artist from Vietnam. His works has been exhibited in Vietnam, Tokyo and London. Tri’s works are mostly figurative and with women of the minority tribes, nudes and women in traditional dresses as his key theme. Looking at his works makes one wonder about the story behind the person. This is one of his rare male nude paintings and is a powerful expression of man’s struggle with his own demon.
